INTRO TO INDIA

This year (2013) I decided that it was time to return to school. I graduated high school some time ago, eight years to be exact. After high school I jumped into the college life at Oakland University. I enjoyed my time there. I finally had freedom; no parents, no rules and my own space. I was living the life, but after completing pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade my brain was exhausted. I was tired of school and became an official “COLLEGE DROUPOUT.” Don’t feel bad for me though, my world did not end.
Currently, I work full time, am a full time mother and go to school part time. I have what others may consider a busy life. But I wouldn’t trade it in for the world, except, adding in a winning lottery ticket. I work at a local hospital as a nurse assistant. I decided to go back to school this year because I have been in the healthcare field for six years and I’m ready to make the transition to a higher tax bracket. I love to help others, so I know the healthcare field is where I want to stay. I’m still undecided on whether it will be RN or something behind the scenes. When I’m not at work or in school I spend time with family.  I give all my attention to my five year old son who has me obsessed with Power Rangers, SpongeBob and Batman. Occasionally I get the chance to watch my favorite, five o’clock news. I enjoy reading interesting books, riding bikes, and spending time with loved ones.  Just the other day I found a new hobby. I decided to take my son sledding in my mom’s backyard, which has many hills on a golf course and it was AWESOME! I’ll definitely add that to my list of things that relieve stress. You should try it too!

  1. One thing I like about blogging is that we get to know about each other in ways that aren't possible in class. I love your post, India. Thanks for sharing.
